We are featuring the launch of the GSI Precedent Library and GSI Monitoring Grant. We’ll also share a summary of what we’ve been up to since our last meeting which will include an update from Committee Chairs. And, as always, there will be structured time to have engaging conversations with your peers.
About the GSI Monitoring Grant Pilot Program
We have been developing a pilot grant program to support the private sector to collect data on the performance of private green stormwater infrastructure projects. The intent is to increase the collective knowledge on the degree to which GSI performs. With greater understanding of how GSI performs, performance metrics/calculation methods can be updated, designs can continue to improve, and there can be more comfort and confidence from the development community that GSI is the most effective and affordable way for them to meet city regulations.
About the GSI Precedent Library
With similar end goals to the monitoring grant, the Precedent Library is a collection of high-performing or otherwise exemplary GSI projects from across the country with applicability here in Philadelphia. Case studies will discuss the degree to which these projects are exceeding their intents, environmentally, economically, and/or socially. The case studies will be complimented by peer-reviewed research that further defends the degree to which GSI performs. The Library is a collaborative project between SBN's GSI Partners and the Delaware Valley Green Building Council (DVGBC), with support from a strong consultant team, including members Meliora Design, Andropogon Associates, and Roofmeadow.
Free to members; $25 to non-members.
