ABOUT ABOUT

IMPORTANT! This progam has been moved from the SBN office to PIDC,1500 Market Street, Suite 2600 West, Philadelphia. Specific details will be sent to all program registrants. Registration is required; NO WALK INS will be permitted.

The Best Practice Forums are a new series of workshops from SBN and Forsei Consulting that use member case studies to create meaningful opportunities to learn, connect, and build a better business. In these interactive sessions, presenters share the “behind the scenes” story of their business – including successes, challenges, and failures – and then outline the practices that enabled them to overcome obstacles.

This program will showcase Little Baby's Ice Cream, a small-batch, hand-made, super-premium Ice Cream and non-dairy frozen dessert company specializing in unique and surprising flavor combinations since 2011. Co-founder Pete Angevine will discuss how Little Baby's has steadily and organically grown its triple bottom line business with the help of numerous free resources from the City and foundations, strategic positioning, and hard work. Sometimes, all you need to do is bust your butt to be in the right place at the right time with the right people, and then simply ask.

After the presentation, members of an expert panel will offer their insights and ideas regarding securing local funding and ask questions to invite the audience into the conversation. Our panelists include:

  • Heather Hanowitz, Vice President, Commercial Business Market Manager, Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation
  • Archna Sahay, Director of Entrepreneurial Investment, Department of Commerce, City of Philadelphia
  • Jonathan Snyder, Director, Business Financial Resources, Department of Commerce, City of Philadelphia

Coffee and a light breakfast will be served.

Thank you to Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses for their support of this program.
