ABOUT ABOUT

The Entrepreneurs' Roundtables provide SBN members with access to the region’s leading policymakers for dialogue on issues relevant to the local economy and mission-driven businesses.

On May 17, the Entrepreneurs' Roundtable will host Councilwoman Cherelle L. Parker for a discussion on Addressing Retirement Security in Philadelphia.

As chair of City Council’s Labor and Civil Service Committee, Parker is working to address Philadelphia’s retirement security crisis, particularly for workers who do not currently have access to a retirement savings plan through their employer. The Councilwoman’s mission to bridge the gap between the “haves” and the “have-nots” continues to be her driving force for change.

Prior to her election in November 2015, Parker served for 10 years as the State Representative for the 200th Legislative District in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, where she made history by becoming the youngest African-American woman ever elected in September 2005.

The Roundtable will start with a light breakfast and networking, feature an hour of moderated conversation between member businesses and Councilwoman Parker, and conclude with half an hour of general Q & A.

IMPORTANT! This free program is open to SBN members ONLY. Attendance is limited to 15 members and is first come, first served. Membership of each registrant will be verified.
