ABOUT ABOUT

On September 20, SBN’s Entrepreneurs’ Roundtable will host Christine Derenick-Lopez, Chief Administrative Officer for the City of Philadelphia, to discuss Developing a Business-Friendly Approach to Procurement.

Since being established in 2016, the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer has led efforts to modernize Philadelphia’s procurement practices. Efforts have included aggressive action to eliminate the requirement for manual, redundant, labor-intensive, and out-of-date business processes that traditionally have been barriers to doing business with the City.

A one-hour focus group will immediately follow the discussion with the Chief Administrative Officer as part of SBN’s ongoing local procurement research. The focus group will explore further procedural and systematic changes that can be made to improve processes for small locally-owned businesses.

Roundtable attendees are strongly encouraged to stay for the focus group to continue the discussion and offer additional perspectives and ideas. Please note there is no need to register separately for the focus group.

REMINDER: This event is for SBN MEMBERS ONLY. Attendance is limited to 30 SBN members and is first come, first served. Membership of each registrant will be verified. Learn more about joining SBN.

Please contact Saleem Chapman, SBN Policy & Advocacy Manager, if you have any questions about the Roundtable or the focus group.
